Pink Gin Sour cocktail with lemon.

Pink Gin Sour (Triple Berry Cocktail)

Julie Davis
This Pink Gin Sour is crisp, bright, and the perfect amount of sweet. The berry gin is quintessentially botanical and earthy, and the strawberry simple syrup compliments it so well. Lemon juice brightens the flavor and the cocktail gets shaken with an egg white for a light and airy foam to top it off!

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Bombay Bramble Gin or other pink gin of your choice
  • 1 ounce strawberry simple syrup store-bought or homemade (below)
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 large egg white

Strawberry Simple Syrup

  • 8 ounces sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

For the Strawberry Simple Syrup

  • Add the sliced strawberries, sugar, and water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  • Stir them well and then lower heat to simmer.
  • Let the strawberries simmer for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, strain the syrup into a jar or bowl and let it cool completely.

For the Gin Sour

  • Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add a handful of ice, about 5 cubes.
  • Shake vigourously for 1 minute.
  • Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass of your choice. Garnish with twisted lemon rind, and serve!

Notes

Gin - The berry gin pairs well with the strawberry syrup and lemon juice, but you could easily use another pink gin of your choice.
Syrup - Feel free to use the provided simple syrup recipe above, or buy a store-bought strawberry syrup to save time!
Additions - Muddled berries, or berries floating in the drink would be delicious additions. You can also make it bubbly by adding some club soda.
