This Rum Margarita recipe is truly the BEST! Easily made with your choice of rum, orange liqueur (or freshly squeezed orange juice), lime juice, agave, and a flaky salt rim to finish it off. There's nothing more perfect than these refreshing rum margaritas on the patio for warmer days!
1ounceorange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)or 1 ounce fresh orange juice + 2 teaspoons agave
1ouncelime juice, freshly squeezed
1teaspoonagave syrupoptional
ice
margarita salt
lime wedge
Instructions
Coat the glass rim with lime juice and dip the edge of the rim into a bowl of margarita salt (or any type of coarse salt), turning until the entire rim is salted.
Fill the glass with ice.
Combine rum, orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave syrup (optional) in a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake until well-mixed and chilled.
Pour the margarita into the glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
