Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 shots brewed espresso 2 shots per latte

Instructions

  • Soak the pecan halves and milk for at least 5-10 minutes (or longer, if possible).
  • Blend the pecans and milk together until smooth.
  • Use a nut milk bag or a mesh colander to strain the pecans (optional, but recommended to prevent a grainy texture).
  • Heat up the strained pecan milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add in the maple syrup, brown sugar (optional), and cinnamon.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes, whisking often.
  • Pour the mixture into each coffee mug.
  • Brew 2 shots of espresso for each latte.
  • Pour into the milk and enjoy!

Notes

  • Want to save time? Use store-bought pecan milk instead of making your own!
  • You can also double this recipe and leave out the espresso to create a maple pecan coffee creamer! Simply store it in the refrigerator for quick, easy, delicious lattes throughout the week.
  • Want more foam in your latte? Use an electric milk frother to froth the milk before adding the espresso!
