These Christmas Rice Krispies Treats are perfect for holiday gatherings, gifting, or for a fun Christmas dessert with the kids! Melt the butter in a large, non-stick pot over medium-low heat.
Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until smooth.
Stir in the vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt.
Remove the pot from heat and fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.
Let the mixture cool in the pan for about 5-7 minutes.
Add in the holiday sprinkles and M&Ms. Gently stir to distribute them.
Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined baking pan. Lightly press it evenly using a spatula.
Optionally, melt white chocolate and drizzle it over the top. Add extra holiday sprinkles and M&Ms.
Place in the refrigerator to set for about 15-20 minutes.
Once set, cut into squares.
Serve and enjoy or store for later!
Feel free to melt the butter and marshmallow mixture in the microwave (in a large microwave-safe bowl) and carefully mix until smooth.
Use cookie cutters to cut out Christmas trees for a fun shape!
