Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 Tablespoons active yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar separated out 2 Tablespoons
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 Tablespoon oil

Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup crumbled Oreos

Icing

  • 2 Tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 Tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup crumbled Oreos

Instructions

Make The Dough

  • Dissolve the active yeast in the water.
  • In a mixer using a dough hook, combine the powdered milk, dissolved yeast, and 2 Tablespoons of sugar until well combined.
  • Add in the butter, remaining sugar, and salt.
  • Slowly add in the flour until well combined, forming the dough into a ball.
  • Place the dough on a well-floured surface.
  • Top with oil, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Make Filling

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×13" pan.
  • Combine the cream cheese, butter, and sugar.
  • Add in the egg and cocoa powder, then mix until well combined.
  • Fold in the crumbled Oreos.

Bake Rolls

  • Roll out the dough to 1/4" thick on a well-floured surface.
  • Spread the filling to evenly cover the dough.
  • Roll up the dough lengthwise, then cut into 1/4”-1/2” slices.
  • Place close together in the pan.
  • Cover with a towel and let rise for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until browned.

Mix Icing

  • Mix the butter, vanilla, and milk together.
  • Slowly mix in the powdered sugar until well combined.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a little bit of milk (1 Tablespoon at a time) until you get the desired consistency.
  • Let the cinnamon rolls cool for about 10 minutes, then cover with icing and top with remaining crushed Oreo pieces.
