Sweet, fresh, and the perfect shade of pink, this strawberry vanilla cocktail is such a tasty Valentine's Day treat. Think strawberry ice cream or vanilla cake in a cocktail! The egg white gives this drink a creamy, frothy texture, and the vanilla vodka rounds out the bright strawberry flavor. It's perfect for a Valentine's date night or a fun Galentine's gathering!
Add the sliced strawberries, sugar, and water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
Stir them well and then lower heat to simmer.
Let the strawberries simmer for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, strain the syrup into a jar or bowl and let it cool completely.
Drink Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake the contents vigorously for 1 minute. Set a timer - the egg whites need time to get frothy!
Strain the drink slowly through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass or glass of your choice.
Serve with chocolate shavings, freeze dried strawberries, and/or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
Notes
Strawberry Syrup - Substitute the sugar for the low-calorie sweetener of your choice if you want to make it lower sugar. I also love making this a day or two ahead so it's ready to go when it's time to make the drinks.
Straining the Drink - The muddled strawberries tend to jam up the cocktail shaker, so slowly pouring your drink through a fine mesh strainer over the glass works best!
Toppings - Chocolate shavings, white or dark chocolate sauce, crumbled freeze-dried strawberries, dried rose petals, or whipped cream would all be delicious additions to this cocktail. A pink sugar rim would be so cute, too!
