St. Patrick's Day Cocktail

Julie Davis
With flavors of honey, melon, and whiskey, this St. Patrick's Day Cocktail is a delicious and green way to enjoy the holiday! The Midori Liqueur is sweet and smooth with a melon flavor perfect for spring. The whiskey gives this cocktail a little kick, and the egg white gets shaken to bring all the flavors together and create a frothy, creamy texture. You're going to love this fun drink!

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 3 ounces Midori Liquer
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons honey or simple syrup
  • 1 large egg white

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add a handful of ice, about 5 pieces.
  • Shake vigourously for 1 minute. Use a timer, the egg white will need the time to get frothy.
  • Pour the drinks into two glasses of your choice, garnish with a lemon twist, and enjoy!

Notes

Whiskey - You can substitute the Jameson with any whiskey of your choice! Don't leave it out though, the drink would be too sweet without the whiskey.
Midori - If you don't love melon flavors, you can substitute with another sweet liqueur you like, like green apple vodka or sour apple schnapps.
Garnishes - A lemon twist is easy to make, just follow these directions. You could also top the drink with green sugar sprinkles, lemon slices, or fresh honeydew slices.
