This Apple Cider Sangria Recipe is crisp, cozy, and tastes like fall in a glass. Made with fresh apples, orange slices, warming spices, white wine, and a splash of brandy, it’s the perfect balance of sweet, spiced, and refreshing. Best of all, it comes together in just ten minutes and can easily be made ahead, making it ideal for parties, gatherings, or just enjoying at home. This is hands down the BEST fall sangria recipe, and you can easily adjust it with your favorite fruits or seasonal touches!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 small honeycrisp apples cored and thinly sliced (or 2 large apples)
  • 1 large orange sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 750 ml bottle dry white wine use your favorite!
  • 1 3/4 cups apple cider
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 750 ml bottle sparkling water, for serving

Instructions
 

  • To a large pitcher, add the apple, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
  • Add the wine, apple cider, brandy, and orange juice.
  • Mix together and set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • When ready to serve, pour into a glass filling 3/4 of the way and top off with sparkling water.

Notes

  • If you want to make the drink a day in advance, only steep the cinnamon sticks and anise in the drink for under 6 hours – more and it can become bitter! So either add it early on and remove after 6 hours, or just add them in a couple hours before serving.
  • Consider removing any cinnamon sticks and cardamom before serving so that nobody accidentally swallows them. 
  • Some Sangrias are made with red wine (more traditional) and other times they're made with white wine. We opted for white wine for a more fall brown-colored vibe that pairs best with the apple cider!
