Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk room temp
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt room temp
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup neutral oil avocado, vegetable, or canola
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 4 large eggs room temp
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon

Icing

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 3 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a 9x13" baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Add all of the wet ingredients to a large mixing bowl and beat until combined.
  • Add in the dry ingredients, making sure to spoon and level the flour when measuring it.
  • Beat the dry ingredients into batter until it is all combined.
  • In a small dish, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Add half of the cake batter to the 9x13" pan.
  • Sprinkle on the cinnamon sugar evenly on top.
  • Add the remaining half of the batter to the pan and spread smoothly with a rubber spatula.
  • Bake the cake for 38-42 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Whisk together all ingredients for the icing.
  • Poke a few holes in the top of the cake with a fork, then pour the icing on top. Let cool a bit more before slicing, then enjoy!

Notes

Storing: Once the cake has cooled completely, cover it tightly and leave it at room temperature for up to 2 days. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze it up for 1 month. If you freeze it, allow it to thaw completely at room temperature before serving.
