Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter lightly melted
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • flaky salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Whisk the butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • If you have time, cover and refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes.
  • Scoop the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake each batch for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  • Let cool and enjoy!
