1/2 cup unsalted butter lightly melted 1/2 cup dark brown sugar packed 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup dark chocolate chips flaky salt to taste
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Whisk the butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
If you have time, cover and refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes.
Scoop the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake each batch for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
