There’s nothing like a refreshing, cold lemonade on a hot summer day! Especially when it’s this delicious Mint Lemonade, made with real lemons, granulated sugar, and fresh mint in about 10 minutes or less. This recipe is a classic and makes a big pitcher for any occasion!

Mint Lemonade Recipe

Take your homemade lemonade recipe up a notch with this easy-to-make Mint Lemonade recipe! You only need 3 simple ingredients, water, and ice to make this deliciously refreshing drink. Add a sugar rim and garnish with mint or lemon slices for a summer drink that tastes amazing!

Ingredients

Mint – Fresh mint leaves are muddled to add flavor and take this drink recipe to the next level. There’s nothing like taking this drink up a notch with mint!

Lemons – Cut the fresh lemons into halves and make fresh lemon juice with a citrus juicer or lemon squeezer.

Granulated Sugar – The granulated sugar in this recipe sweetens this lemonade to perfection. 1/3 cup sugar is all you need, but you can always adjust to your own personal taste!

Water – In addition to the hot and cold water in this recipe, you may also add an additional cup water (if desired).

How to Make Mint Lemonade

Making homemade mint lemonade is so easy! Here’s how to make this recipe in 10 minutes or less:

  1. Juice the lemons.
  2. Combine sugar and hot water, then let cool.
  3. Add lemon juice, cold water, and ice to the sugar syrup mixture.
  4. Muddle the mint.
  5. Mix into the lemonade pitcher and pour into glasses filled with ice.
  6. Add more iced to taste, garnish, and enjoy!

That’s it! This drink recipe is so perfect for keeping on repeat and enjoying all summer long.

Note: you can also use a simple syrup, honey, or other sweeteners for this recipe!

Other Variations

Strawberry Mint Lemonade

Muddle 4-5 ripe strawberries along with your mint to make a strawberry mint lemonade. This is a drink you’ll want to sip on all summer long!

Cucumber Mint Lemonade

Cut a cucumber into large cubes, then use a lemon squeezer to juice the cucumber along with the lemons. Prepare the rest according to the directions below for a delicious cucumber mint lemonade! Garnish with fresh cucumber slices (or add them right into the pitcher).

Watermelon Mint Lemonade

Adding watermelon to this mint lemonade recipe is SO good for summertime! Blend about 2 cups of cubed seedless watermelon in a blender, then strain. Add it in to this lemonade recipe, mix well, and enjoy!

How to Store

Make a double batch or keep leftover lemonade in a large mason jar (with an airtight lid) in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can also keep it right in the pitcher for 1-2 days in the fridge!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 6 medium lemons, juiced
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 2 cups ice cubes or more

Instructions
 

  • Mix the sugar and hot water together in a large pitcher, then let cool for 5 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Add in 1 cup of the ice.
  • Juice the lemons into the pitcher and mix until combined.
  • Add in the cold water.
  • Fill the glasses with remaining ice (and more, if desired) and set aside.
  • Muddle the mint in a muddling glass.
  • Place half of the mint in the pitcher and the remaining mint in each glass.
  • Pour the lemonade into each glass and stir.
  • Enjoy!
