Why You’ll Love This Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

If you recently purchased a Ninja Creami (or are thinking about getting one), you may be wondering how to get started and what to make first. This basic ice cream is the BEST, easiest first recipe to make in your Creami!

After testing different Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream versions and doing multiple side-by-side taste tests, I’ve finally created my hands-down favorite! Here’s why you’ll love it:

  • It only takes 4 ingredients. It’s easy to keep these ingredients on hand to make ice cream any time!
  • It’s the perfect base for customizing. I’ve included lots of ideas for tasty ways to jazz it up!
  • It boasts that classic vanilla flavor that pairs well with everything.

Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

Homemade ice cream can be tricky. Getting the right texture, richness, and strong vanilla flavor isn’t created without the right recipe.

I love flavored ice creams, like Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Ice Cream or Butter Pecan Ice Cream Sandwiches but this recipe is perfect for the Ninja Creami. Blend it up, freeze, spin, and that’s it! It’ll become one of your go-to Ninja Creami Recipes.

Ingredients For Ninja Creami Vanilla Base

This Vanilla Ice Cream recipe is so easy, has the perfect creamy texture, and has only 4 simple ingredients! Here’s what you’ll need:

Ultra-Filtered Whole Milk – Higher in protein and containing less sugar, ultra-filtered whole milk works super well for homemade ice cream. It helps cut down on the icy texture that can come with homemade ice cream.

If you don’t have ultra-filtered milk on hand, regular whole milk can be used instead.

Heavy Cream – After testing this recipe with both half and half and heavy cream, the heavy cream definitely won! Rich in flavor and texture, it is delicious in this classic treat and gives it that creamy texture!

White Sugar – Sweetness without overpowering the vanilla flavor, white sugar works well as the sweetener in this recipe.

Vanilla – Pure vanilla extract is ideal for this recipe. You can add the seeds from a vanilla bean for a rich vanilla flavor, and those quintessential black flecks found in vanilla bean ice cream.

How to Make Vanilla Ninja Creami Ice Cream

It is really easy to make Vanilla Ice Cream with your Ninja Creami. Follow these 3 simple steps:

  • Combine the ingredients in a blender and blend for 15 seconds. Pour into a Ninja Creami Pint Container.
  • Freeze on a flat surface for 12-24 hours.
  • Remove the ice cream base from the freezer, remove the lid, and spin on the ice cream setting of your Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker. Serve and enjoy!

Add-In Ideas

Vanilla Ice Cream is delicious on its own, paired with a tasty dessert (like this Blueberry Crumble Pie), or mixed with fruit, nuts, candies, and sweets. Here are some ideas for mix-ins for this tasty dairy dessert:

Fruit – Fresh, frozen, or fruit jam or compote are all delicious in vanilla ice cream. Some of my favorites are peaches, berries, pineapple, and mango.

Nuts – Crunchy, salty nuts are so tasty with the sweet, creamy ice cream. Peanuts, almonds, cashews, and walnuts are good choices, as well as creamy nut butter! I love cinnamon almond butter drizzled over a scoop.

Candies and Sweets – Chocolate chips, sprinkles, crushed candy bars, cookies, brownies, graham crackers, and marshmallows – the options are endless!

Drizzles and Sauces – Whatever flavor you like, there is a sauce or drizzle of it, I’m sure! Some unique options are a balsamic drizzle, bourbon caramel, and strawberry rhubarb jam.

Storing Vanilla Ice Cream

  • Store leftovers in the freezer for 1-2 weeks in an airtight container.
  • Respin in the Ninja Creami after removing it from the freezer for a silky, smooth, texture.
