Caramel Apple Vodka Martini Recipe

Often times Caramel Apple Martini recipes are made with flavored vodkas or syrups, but this super easy cocktail recipe is made using rich apple cider, real apples, and thick, buttery caramel. No fake flavors here!

You’ll love how simple it is to make the syrup that will last for weeks in your fridge. Just shake up the cocktails when you’re ready to start sipping! This is a delightful caramel apple martini recipe ideal for any seasonal event that everyone will love.

Ingredients For Caramel Apple Vodka Cocktail

You only need 5 ingredients to make this creamy caramel apple martini, perfect for a cool fall evening. Here’s what’s in them:

Apple Simple Syrup

The Apple Syrup makes 4 servings, so you can keep it on hand for easy cocktails all fall long!

  • Apple Cider – Made from the pulp of whole fresh apples, apple cider gives the syrup a deep apple flavor. You can substitute with apple juice but lower the sugar amount to 1/3 cup.
  • Granulated Sugar – Feel free to substitute with equal parts of any other sweetener you like.
  • Apple Slices – Any apple will do for this recipe. I like using granny smith apples, or Honeycrisp for their tartness!

Apple Martini

This recipe makes a single cocktail, but you can always double or triple it (or more) as needed.

  • Vodka – Any regular vodka will do. Because we are adding the sweet syrup and caramel, I don’t suggest using a flavored vodka because it will be too sweet.
  • Apple Simple Syrup
  • Caramel – Use a thick caramel sauce for the best results.

How to Make an Apple Martini

This syrup is so easy to make and it tastes so good. Once it’s cooled, shake it up in a cocktail shaker with the martini ingredients and serve! Here’s how to make it:

How to Make Apple Simple Syrup

  1. Add the ingredients to the saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes, smash the apples, and let it cool.
  3. Strain the syrup and store it in an airtight jar.

How to Make a Caramel Appletini

  1. Add the martini ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and pour it into a prepared martini glass.
  3. Garnish and serve!

Tips

  • Chill the Glass – Martinis are supposed to be cold, but they don’t have ice in the drink so pop your glass in the freezer for a few minutes before making the drink, or add ice and water to the glass and let it sit. Pour it out right before adding your drink to the glass.
  • Choose the Right Caramel – Caramel that comes in a jar and is a little thicker works best for this recipe. Caramel syrup is thinner and tends to separate more in the drink.
  • Shake with Ice – No stirring for this martini! Shake it with ice so it’s nice and cold and all of the caramel is mixed well into the drink.
  • Serve Immediately – Enjoy this drink right after it’s shaken for the best flavor and temperature.
  • Consider Adding Cinnamon – Cinnamon sprinkled on top is completely optional but it does add an extra flare to the apple drink!

Storing Apple Simple Syrup

Store any leftover syrup in an airtight syrup bottle in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. Shake or stir it well before using it.
